If you call in too early you will hear a message saying that "you have either called in too early or have entered an invalid pin code." If you get this message, please call back in.

If you have "call waiting" feature on your phone, please disable it BEFORE calling into the conference call. To do this,  dial (*70), pause to hear the dial tone, and then dial the conference number as you would normally do. Your "call waiting" re-activates automatically as soon as you hang up the phone.

~

Since any background noise around you will be heard by everyone on the conference call, it is very important that you eliminate any background noise in your environment. If you have a phone with a "mute" button, please use it.

If you do not have a "mute" button, make sure other members of your family (including pets) are in another room. You can also enter *6 to mute your phone while on this call. Entering *6 again will "un-mute" your line if you wish to speak.

~

If you have a two-line phone or other phones in your room/office, please turn off their ringers while on the conference call.

~

If you are using a prepaid calling card, make sure that you have ample minutes. Any warnings such as "you have one minute left" will be heard by all callers.

~

If you're having sound quality issues, try hanging up and calling back in. Remember that if your line has static, other participants can probably hear it, too.

~

If you use a cordless phone, stay close to the base to avoid static.

Avoid using speakerphones. Use the hand-held receiver or a head-set.
